An artists’ gathering in the canton of Fribourg

Since joining the Koronin Gallery, Valaine de Ranson, Anja Dallenbach and Artemis Irenäus von Baste have been meeting up frequently. In fact, they enjoy planning our virtual exhibitions together. Usually, Vestara Psod joins this group as well. However, her travels at the end of August 2026 have kept her away.

So it was in the garden of a beautiful house in the  canton of Fribourg that our trio met up on Monday. Autumn is already beginning to paint the leaves a russet hue. So, our three friends discussed the upcoming themes for 2027. However, they will not necessarily be taking part in these events themselves. Indeed, their aim is rather to invite other visual artists to participate.

Key themes for the start of the new term

The September exhibition will go live tomorrow evening. Its title is ‘Beneath the Surface of Commands (or The Art of Saying No)’. It’s an important subject. Furthermore, several literary figures such as George Sand and Alexandr Solzhenitsyn have stood up against social determinism. Today, this theme also serves as a reminder that we must protect our time in the world of work.

Meanwhile, Valaine and Anja are already preparing for the October event. This forthcoming exhibition is entitled ‘The Making of Chimeras: A Dialogue with the Invisible’. As such, this project will explore creativity in the age of digital technology and artificial intelligence. How far does the human touch extend? How does the machine become a mirror of our desires?

A lively and welcoming gallery

To be perfectly honest, Galerie Koronin deeply values these artistic friendships. Indeed, they are the hallmark of our identity. That is why our venture does more than simply function. It exists, it thrives and it remains deeply alive.
