Preparations are underway for the new artistic season at the Bois-la-Croix Castle!
As the new academic year approaches in September, Galerie Koronin is delighted to announce the reopening of its art studio. For the second year running, these exceptional courses will take place in the prestigious setting of the Château du Bois-la-Croix, in Pontault-Combault (France). Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced artist, come and unleash your creativity in a unique atmosphere.
Academic teaching set within a historic castle
First of all, it is important to note that this workshop is open to everyone. The classes are led by Philippe, a professional painter and teacher of applied arts within the French national education system. Thanks to his dual background, he will teach you the fundamentals of the visual arts, striking the perfect balance between technical rigour and a supportive teaching approach.
What’s more, working at the Château du Bois-la-Croix provides an endless source of inspiration. As a result, every student receives personalised support to progress at their own pace, surrounded by a community of enthusiasts.
A comprehensive programme for exploring all the techniques
Furthermore, this year’s curriculum has been designed to cover a wide range of artistic practices.
On the agenda for this annual workshop, you will discover:
- Drawing and painting: learning and refining classical techniques (charcoal, graphite, oil painting, acrylic).
- Materials technique: traditional pigment techniques and the meticulous preparation of the surfaces.
- An introduction to copying: studying the masters through the practice of easel painting.
- First-person view: immersive exercises set within the castle’s architecture.
- Outdoor sketching: outdoor drawing sessions in the wooded park as soon as the warmer weather returns.
Prices and practical information regarding your registration
In short, we’ve done everything we can to provide you with high-quality teaching at an affordable price, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

- Annual fee: €180 for the year.
- Compulsory membership fee: Between €30 and €35 (depending on the association’s status).
- Venue: Château du Bois-la-Croix, Pontault-Combault (Seine-et-Marne).
