Natascha will tell you more!
From Natascha – Team Switzerland.
On this Monday morning, I have the pleasure of informing you about a new activity that opens your online gallery: Art lessons in the castle.
During our visit to the castle of Bois-la-Croix (France), the VABLC association, which manages the interiors of this historical heritage site, responded positively to Philippe’s idea of opening a leisure course in visual arts from September 2025.
One of the salons on the garden floor could be used for art courses (drawing, painting, sculpture), but would first have to be opened to the public. Discussions are currently underway with the owner of the castle about the feasibility of this marvellous project, with the original timetable for the work to be carried out over the next few years and the budget for the restoration of this salon already impressive.
So next September, the course would start in one of the salons on the first floor. Which one would that be? The owner will surprise us soon.
Why an art course in a castle?
The environment in which artistic learning takes place – even for pure leisure activity, i.e. pleasure – plays a fundamental role in the creative process. A 19th century castle with its unique architectural features provides an immersive and inspiring environment that fosters participants’ creativity. Utilising this unique setting is likely to attract participants looking for a special artistic experience.
A castle with its history and architecture creates a special atmosphere that invites reflection, concentration and an escape from everyday life. The special atmosphere of the Château du Bois-la-Croix will allow participants to detach themselves from everyday life and concentrate fully on their art. And why not get to know and appreciate the château from a different angle while preserving and emphasising its history?
Course dates and times?
I will tell you more about this at the beginning of June 2025.

The very romantic Bois-la-Croix estate, which once belonged to the writer Georges Ohnet and the Morane family of aeroplane manufacturers. The parlours bear the names of the books and the Morane ladies.
