First pictorial treat in art class !

On Wednesday evening, the art studio at Château du Bois-la-Croix was buzzing with creative energy. Between focused gazes and cheerful smiles, each participant settled at their easel, ready to dive into a new artistic adventure.

After studying a plaster statue, it was time for a timeless classic: the still life. And what better way to begin than with an apple? Round, shiny, with subtle shades of red and ochre—painted in a way that makes you want to take a bite! The first results were already stunning, even for beginners.

The class wrapped up in a warm, friendly atmosphere filled with laughter and lively exchanges. Next up: exploring the world of botanical painting—leaves, flowers, and textures that will add depth and color to our young artists’ palettes.

Friday evening brought another highlight: VABLC invited its facilitators—our Team—to a delightful reception in one of the château’s elegant salons. A convivial gathering, perfect for sharing ideas and sparking creativity. The Swiss team arrives this Sunday and will join us at the château on Tuesday afternoon.
