Біографія та мистецькі пошуки Жиля Жоржа Рукса
Мене звати Жиль Жорж Рукс. Я народився 16 березня 1955 року в Сен-Тропе, де пройшло все моє дитинство. Згодом я навчався у Школі образотворчих мистецтв Макона (департамент 71), після чого переїхав до Італії, де живу вже сорок років — спочатку в Болоньї, потім на острові Ельба, а нині в Римі.
Мій естетичний пошук — адже саме про пошук ідеться — полягає в тому, щоб створювати ідеї форм, які я називаю «морфо-концептами», та втілювати їх в естетичному ключі.
Роботи, що з’являються в результаті цього процесу, мають високу послідовність — передусім концептуальну, але й формальну: єдиний формат (100 × 70 см), єдина техніка (кольорові олівці на чорному папері, графіка білим чорнилом).
Більше, ніж пошук ефекту, мене цікавить візуалізація самої ідеї.
У моїй творчості можна виокремити дві дуже відмінні «лінії»:
Форма часу
Ця серія спирається на концепти загальної теорії відносності. «Смуги пір року», що символізують перебіг часу, наприклад, деформуються під дією гравітації.
Quantum butterflies (Квантові метелики)
У цій серії я символізую субатомні частинки або кванти енергії у вигляді метеликів. Так, наприклад, промінь фіолетових квантових метеликів, проходячи крізь кристал, розділяється на каскад жовтих, а потім червоних енергетичних метеликів.

“MULTI-WORLD INTERPRETATION” This interpretation of quantum mechanics was first developed by the American physicist Paul Everett who proposed the hypothesis that Schrodinger’s Phi wave function did not stick at the time of measurement but that the The universe is divided into two branches corresponding to the two reading possibilities.

“SCHRODINGER’S BUTTERFLIES” The work is a variation of the famous “Schrödinger’s cat”, but in this case the difference in state is highlighted by the change in color of the butterfly which goes from blue to purple, in a branch of the blue universe and in another purple one.

“PHOTONS – POLARIZED BUTTERFLIES” The drawing is read from left to right (future past). At first the butterflies are in chaos, then they pass through the blue vertical polarizing crystal which only selects butterflies in a vertical position. Instead, when passing through the green polarizing crystal, they all come out in a horizontal position. Finally passing through the purple polarizing crystal, the butterflies come out at 45 degrees.

“DISCRETE LEVELS OF EXISTENCE” This spatio-temporal landscape is inspired by the discrete energy levels described by quantum mechanics around the atomic nucleus. Permirent orbitals are determined by their vibration (the number of complete cycles possible in an orbit). In this drawing, we consider a minimum level (the oscillating electron is symbolized by a landscape whose temporal dimension is given by the seasons.

“MOUNTAIN RELATIVITY TIME” Time passes faster up than down (the gravitational force decreases the speed of time). In this drawing, time represented locally by its four seasons passes more quickly at the top of the mountain (multi-season stripes) than at its foot.

“CYCLICAL TIME” In this drawing we imagine that time is circular. The temporal sequence is read from left to right through the development of the seasons but at the same time from bottom to top, time in this case is inscribed on an impossible EISHER triangle.

“VARIABLE SPEED OF LIGHT” In this drawing space time is defined by a past cone of light (1. dimension-time, 2. dimensions type space length width, the past is at the bottom, the present at the top. All l The visible universe is immersed in the cone of light.

“RELATIVE TIME – EXTENDED PRESENT” Extended present relativistic time, this drawing presents the concept of extended present typical of relativity, it is a time which is located between the past cone and the future cone at the present point. It is zero and increases as we move away from the space-like dimension.
